If so, this club night is for you. Bruce Meincke and Andrew Stevenson are bringing sample gear and food for you to try. Andrew will take you through 2 beginner pack carries he is leading soon.

 

We will also be announcing the winner of the 2019 Jonas Lea award.  Jonas was one of our Leaders and one of the best demonstrators of our club values, who unfortunately passed away in 2018.  Jonas’ family will be presenting the award.

 

Our AGM is going to start the night off at 7pm at

Atrium room, The Hub, 80 HARBOUR ESPLANADE, DOCKLANDS 3008

Note: this is a new venue

 

This evening is free for members and all interested visitors, so join us for some hot food and nibbles, whilst we elect the Committee for 2020 and present the Jonas Lea award.

As its also 80 years since our very first walk, around 7.30pm Bruce is going to provide a brief pictorial  look at bushwalking in the 60’s ….  This will certainly help you appreciate Bruce and Andrew’s following session on the latest in bushwalking gear and food. Walking in 2020 is a vastly different experience, but just as enjoyable.

 

As we will be catering substantial hot food including pizzas, it would be appreciated if you could register so we have some idea of numbers.

Free parking is available at Docklands after 6.30pm.

Public transport is available via train to Southern Cross Station or tram to Harbour Esplanade, Docklands (stop D4 or D3).
