Coleraine to Hamilton Rail Trail

Trip Overview

Come and walk this rail trail through a conservation reserve in western Victoria. This conservation reserve follows the path of a former railway line that operated from 1888 until its closure in 1977. The trail features historical infrastructure, including 15 bridges and significant earthworks, and traverses diverse landscapes rich in native flora and fauna.
We will stay Saturday night in Hamilton, rise early, grab a cab ride to Coleraine and commence the hike.

Accommodation

We have booked two cabins at Lake Hamilton Motor Village and Caravan Park. We will have 3 people per cabin.

Once the club booked accommodation is filled, we will open the event to those who wish to book their own accommodation.
