As bushwalkers, we love and appreciate nature and the wilderness areas across Australia that fill our senses and nourish our souls.
But, in an ever-encroaching and greedy human world, it takes teams of passionate and dedicated individuals to help maintain, protect, defend and promote these precious places, for the present and the future.
Join us this evening for a privileged glimpse into one such group, Wildcare Tasmania.
Wildcare Tasmania is a community of members, volunteers and donors who care for Tasmania’s wild places, wildlife and cultural heritage. With over 2000 members and 60 volunteer groups, Wildcare offers inspiring opportunities in beautiful places, working in close partnership with the Tasmanian Government, Councils, and private landowners

Wildcare’s Volunteer Services Manager, Kim Willing will provide an overview of the organisation and introduce you to the range of opportunities to get involved.

You will also hear from the leaders of 3 Wildcare groups who work in some of Tassie’s iconic bushwalking areas:

Peter Franklin – Friends of Mount Field and Friends of Wellington Park

Greig Clarke – Friends of the Penguin Cradle Trail and,

Sally Simco – Wildcare Cradle Mountain Volunteers.

Anyone is welcome to attend, however as this is a virtual club night, please register so we can send you the zoom meeting invite. The Leader will confirm your participation via email.
