Trip Overview
The world’s most remote capital city is not always thought of as a hiking destination –but it does have some very special places. It also has beautiful beaches, fantastic food destinations, and some of the world’s most recognisable attractions. This trip will combine Perth and the area south of Perth around Busselton.
You can do the entire trip, or only Part 1 or Part 2. Note that Part 1 requires you to choose your own accommodation. However, Part 2 is a bit more limited, in that accommodation and car hire is arranged by the club. We have worked in a couple of tourist attractions to this trip because it gives people a chance to ‘be’ in the area and see more of the area than just hiking tracks.
Part 1: PERTH
Friday 5 June – Tuesday 9 June (Kings Birthday long weekend)
Part 1 involves a selection of day hikes in and around Perth. These hikes may feel like an ‘urban hike’ as opposed to a bushwalk, but they will be fantastic hikes! Travel will be a mixture of bus, train, ferry and taxi.
Part 2: BUSSELTON
Tuesday 9 June – Sunday 14 June
Part 2 involves a selection of day hikes further afield to the south of Perth, generally involving an hour or so of driving. We have hired mid-sized cars (such as Toyota Camrys) for this part of the event. We will not be allowing people to make their own cars available for hikes; we have hired cars, and attendees need to commit to the arrangement put in place.

Accommodation
Part 1: PERTH
You need to book your own accommodation in Perth. If you wish to share with others, then please reach out and our leader will put you in touch with others who also wish to share accommodation – it will then be up to you and others in your accommodation to book and arrange shared payment for your accommodation.
Part 2: BUSSELTON
We have arranged accommodation in share houses for part 2. Accordingly, you may be expected to share a room with a fellow traveler.
