Walk Description

Please join me on a summer stroll through the Werribee River and Mt Hope Circuit.

We will be setting off from a pre-determined location near Ballan at 9am. Approved participants will be emailed the location and directions near the event start date.

From here we visit the Weribee river and Mt Hope around a circuit made up of 4WD tracks, single trail and off track sections in open bushland.

I have not explored the area yet, but am familiar with the terrain in Wombat State Forest and have a good circuit in mind. This walk will be exploratory.

It will be about 16 or so Kays all up.

I would rate it a 3 – Medium walk, due to decent distance and varying small hills.

This walk will not be advertised on Meetup, it’s YHA website only.

Car pooling can be initiated by filling out the car pooling details when you register. I will then do my very best to connect drivers with riders via email well before the event.

Booking through the YHA website is required for this walk. 

I will confirm acceptance on this walk via email.

 

What to bring:

• Day pack
• Sufficient water (2 litres, more on hot summer days)
• Lunch and snacks
• Hat, sun screen
• Suitable outdoor clothing (no jeans/sneakers!)
• Rainwear & warm jacket
• Proper walking shoes/boots

Booking Fee:

Please pay the leader CASH at the start of the walk, NO credit cards.

Passengers must pay the driver their share of car-pooling costs as described on the

Car-pooling page. Please bring cash for this purpose.
