Tipperary Track, Daylesford


Distance: 15 km

Bookings are not required for this walk, just turn up at:   8:45am   Flagstaff station forecourt (corner William and Latrobe Sts, CBD).

The leader will organise car-pooling and provide directions to the location of the walk.  Drivers are really appreciated to help car-pool walkers between the meeting point and the walk location. There is free all-day parking nearby if your vehicle isn’t needed for transport, but please check parking signs.

The drive from the meeting point to the starting point of the walk will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes and is 226 km return.

The walk will take around 4 hours including breaks.

Expect to return to the meeting point around 6.00pm.

Walk Description

The Tipperary Track starts at Lake Daylesford and passes disused goldfields, mineral springs and stands of deciduous trees. The first section will take us to Twin Bridges where we cross the Midland Highway and walk to Tipperary Springs. The next section is from Tipperary Springs loops us back around the other side to return to Lake Daylesford.
