Kinglake National Park: Andrew Hill Circuit


Distance: 11.4km 

Bookings are not required for this walk, just turn up at:   9:45am   Ringwood station carpark (opposite the RSL).

We will wait for the train that arrives at 9.58am from the city.

The leader will organise car-pooling and provide directions to the location of the walk.  Drivers are really appreciated to help car-pool walkers between the meeting point and the walk location. There is free all-day parking in the station carpark nearby if your vehicle isn’t needed for transport)

The drive from the meeting point to the starting point of the walk will take about 45-60 minutes and is 100 km return.

Max petrol cost per car is $30

The walk will take around 4-5  hours including breaks.

Expect to return to the meeting point around 5.00pm.

Walk Description

This is a walk within the Wombelano Block in the north-eastern end of Kinglake National Park.  Location north of the Great Divide it contains drier Messmate forest with less understory vegetation.  The walk follows tracks over the summit of Andrew Hill.

What to bring

• Day pack
• Sufficient water (2 litres, more on hot summer days)
• Lunch and snacks
• Hat, sun screen
• Suitable outdoor clothing (no jeans/sneakers!)
• Rainwear & warm jacket
• Proper walking shoes/boots

Booking Fee:

YHA Bushwalking Victoria Members: Free
Non-members: $7  (please pay the leader CASH at the start of the walk, no credit cards)

Passengers must pay the driver their share of car-pooling costs as described on the Car-pooling page. Please bring cash for this purpose.
