Expired

Distance: 65km

Walk Description

Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, near Armidale, spoils you with World Heritage-listed gondwana rainforest, historic sites, and magnificent waterfalls. It’s perfect for walking, camping, bike or horse riding, and fishing.

In particular, our hike is the famous Green Gully track, one of Australia’s few hut-to-hut walks in the spirit of similar trails in New Zealand. Fern lined gullies, high elevation forests and wildlife greet you as undertake a 4 night, four day walk.

Our trip starts and finishes in nearby Port Macquarie

Accommodation

You stay in proper huts, known as Cedar Creek Cottage, Birds Nest Hut, Green Gully Hut, Colwells Hut and Cedar Creek again on the final night. Each hut has cooking facilities and beds, so you only need to bring a sleeping bag, some form of pillow and clothing.

Some of the huts even have showers.

The accommodation at either side of the hike in Port Macquarie will be own arrangements.

The cost of the accommodation must be paid in advance.
