Walking Since 1939

Club Nights

Clubnights are monthly, and free for members and visitors.  They are both social and informative. They may be ‘in person’ or ‘virtual’.

Our club nights normally include a presentation, usually with an outdoor, travel or conservation theme. Our interesting guest speakers range from walk leaders and members talking about upcoming walks or exciting walks they have done in Australia or overseas, to travel authors, back country film producers, various bushwalking experts, or others prominent in bushwalking circles.

Sometimes, our club nights are a social event only.

Clubnight is a great opportunity to chat with Committee members and walk leaders to get you started bushwalking with us,  transitioning from day walks to more challenging activities, discussing the latest and greatest in gear,  becoming a leader or how you can be more involved with the Club.

When

Normally, the first Tuesday of each month. Details are on the Current Walks Program.

When an ‘In person’ presentation is included, the evening will normally commence with social drinks and nibbles from 7.00pm, with the main presentation at 7.30pm. The evening typically finishes around 8.30 to 9pm. Sometimes, we arrange a dinner beforehand at a nearby pub or restaurant, typically starting around 6pm.

Our ‘in person’ club night presentations are held at the East Melbourne Library Meeting Room, 122 George St, East Melbourne.
