With winter fast approaching, many people’s thoughts turn to the snow fields and snowy pursuits.

And, after two seasons lost to the pandemic, snow bunnies everywhere are no doubt delighted at the prospect of getting back out amongst the majestic snow gums in our glorious high country.

So, if you are interested in a new way of walking in the snow, have ever wanted to try cross country skiing or are keen to get get back to it after some time away then this is the evening for you.

 

Lawrence Marsh from  YHA Cross Country (XC) Ski Club will fill you in all you need to know:

  • what is XC skiing?
  • what gear do you need?
  • what trip options are there for first timers and beginners?
  • will someone be able to help you for your first go?

 

 

Please join us for light refreshments and a very informative night that will help you keep warm and have fun in the snow, cross country style!

 

 

VENUE: Richmond Library Meeting Room, 415 Church St, Richmond. Enter via Church St entrance, turn left at stairway and proceed upstairs.

(10 minutes walk from Richmond train station. Street parking available around the area and limited spaces behind library off Charlotte St).

Anyone is welcome to attend, however in order to monitor numbers, please register for the event as per the walks program. The Leader will confirm your participation via email.
