Diggers Creek, Mt Disappointment State Forest
Expired
Walk Description
Distance: 13 to 14 kilometres
A fabulous little walk … and close to Melbourne too. The proposed walk is only 13 to 14 kilometres, but its in fairly rugged country, and it’s mostly off track. It involves some very pleasant walking along Diggers Creek and up the gorge, but includes one short but very steep climb of 90 metres, and two short sharp descents of 80 and 50 metres respectively.
Other Equipment: This is essentially an off track walk and a strong pair of comfortable boots and gaiters would be ideal.
Food: You will need lunch and munchies.
Water: Bring water for the day. Suggest two litres.
There is water on route, but it probably should be treated.
Transport: Car pooling to be arranged by leader.
