Walk Description

Celebrate Easter Saturday with a circuit walk along the Macedon Ranges walking trail.  There is 550 m of total climbing.  Walk starts in the Mt Macedon township then climbs steeply to the summit of Mt Macedon, passing the memorial cross.  Track passes the Camel’s Hump and Sanitorium Lake via a series of picnic grounds.  The walk concludes with a steep descent from the summit of Mt Towrong.  We will have coffee a Mt Macedon township before returning home.

 

Booking

Booking is  required for this walk.   The Leader will confirm your acceptance on the walk, or not, via email.  The leader will organise car-pooling and provide details of where and when to meet.

Booking Fee:
Members: free.     Non-members: $7.
Please pay the leader CASH at the start of the walk, NO credit cards.

Passengers must pay the driver their share of car-pooling costs as described on the Car-pooling page. Please bring cash for this purpose.

 

What to bring:

• Day pack
• Sufficient water (2 litres, more on hot summer days)
• Lunch and snacks
• Hat, sun screen
• Suitable outdoor clothing (no jeans/sneakers!)
• Rainwear & warm jacket
• Proper walking shoes/boots
