Grade: Medium with some hills

Duration: 5-6 hours

Directions from city: Take the Eastern Freeway and exit at Nunawading (To avoid the tolls).

Then, turn right and go straight down Springvale road crossing over Maroondah Highway until you get to Canterbury road where you turn left. Continue down Canterbury road passing over Bayswater road, then Dorset Road, until you get to Montrose where you turn right into Mount Dandenong Tourist Road.

Continue up this road until you get to the Kalorama Park Lookout.
As you arrive toward the lookout, on your right there is the “Five Ways Galleries”, then a bus stop. The Lookout is in the car park opposite the bus stop. You can either park there or behind the bus stop where there is a car park for the “Ellis Jeeves Reserve”; the walk starts from here.

Let’s aim to get to the meeting point by 10 am and set off by 10.15 am from the “Ellis Jeeves Reserve” car park.

After the walk we can then go for coffee/scones/cake at the “Destiny Point Cafe” shop next to the bus stop.

Booking is  required for this walk.  The Leader will confirm your acceptance on the walk, or not, via email. The leader will organise car-pooling and provide details of where and when to meet.

What to bring:

• Day pack
• Sufficient water (2 litres, more on hot summer days)
• Lunch and snacks
• Hat, sun screen
• Suitable outdoor clothing (no jeans/sneakers!)
• Rainwear & warm jacket
• Proper walking shoes/boots

Please pay the leader CASH at the start of the walk, NO credit cards.

Passengers must pay the driver their share of car-pooling costs as described on the
