Clubnight November 14th 2023: Traversing England on Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk

Expired

Sally Nettleship has been a member of YHA since 2020 and in July 2023, she embarked on her first international, iconic multi-day walk in northern England across 13 days.

Wainwright’s 315km Coast to Coast route crosses the breadth of England, from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire. Three distinct geographical regions are encountered: Lake District National Park, The Yorkshire Dales, and North Yorkshire Moors.

Having successfully completed this, she is now looking forward to undertaking more multi-day hikes in the future.

Tonight, Sally will share highlights from this challenging, diverse, and beautiful “Town and Country” walk.

Venue: East Melbourne Library Meeting Room, 122 George St, East Melbourne.

(8 minutes walk from West Richmond train station or 4 minutes walk from Jolimont Station. Alternatively take #48 0r 75 tram. Unrestricted street parking available after 6.30pm on the Fitzroy Gardens side of Clarendon Street and on Wellington Parade. Please check signage carefully).
